Rotary Club – From Monza with Love

Varanasi, March 2025

Thanks to the generosity of the Rotary Club of Monza Villa Reale – during the presidency of Architect Michela Locati, 2021-2022 –  the Pujya Maa Shri Sarveshwari Seva Sangh Association (Varanasi) received a major donation which supported the acquisition of advanced eyecare equipment for cataract surgeries in the center’s hospital.

The allocated funds were used by the Rotary Club of Varanasi to purchase the following units:

Lumera 300 Microscope (Zeiss)

Slit Lamp 220 (Zeiss)

Fundus Camera (Volk)

A.A.O.T. Table (Appasamy Associates)

Motorized Surgeon Stool (Appasamy Associates)

Over the years, Dr. P. K. Singh and his daughter Dr. S. Singh, also an eye surgeon, have performed more than 700 cataract surgeries.

From November 2022 through February 2023, our team was able to perform 204 surgeries.

From March 2023 through March 2024, our team performed an additional 224 surgeries.

From April 2024 through March 2025, another 275 surgeries were performed.
